Season One
Season dealt with Angel trying to find his place in L.A. He wants to help people, yet doesn't want to deal with them personally. Doyle, Cordy and the brooding champ himself were the core A.I. team till Doyles heroic yet tragic death. Later on that season, Wesley came to L.A. as a Rogue Demon Hunter. (Which basically translates to a guy trying way to hard to be cool, and failing miserably.) The season ends with the introduction of a street smart vamp fighter named Gunn, and the resurrection of Angels former love, Darla, by Wolfram & Hart. (Which consisted of primarily Lindsey, Lilah, and...that old guy.)

Season Two
Along with Angel, Wesley, Cordelia and Darla, a few other Sunnydale familiars showed up in season two. Dru teamed up with Darla for a night on the town. Also, Harmony and Willow show up for the episode Disharmony. Lorne, a green-skinned very fashion savvy mind reading demon was introduced. He actually ends up being very important for the overall plot, because near the end of the season the A.I. team is forced into his dimension (Pylea) to rescue Cordy. (She was being treated like a princess there! Couldn't just leave here there to suffer that kinda torture....) While rescuing Cor, they also rescue a former L.A. librarian whos been missing for five years named Fred. (Useless info 101 - Joss Whedon played Numfar of the Deathwok Clan in the episode Through the Looking Glass. The character was the clans best dancer or something like that.)

Season Three
In the beginning of this season, Fred actually lives in the hotel now, writes on the walls of her room for fun, and kinda falls for Angel. Hes her...knight in shining armor. (Thankfully, she gets over all of those things.) Angel and Darla apparently have a child somehow. Darla stakes herself, leaving Angel to raise Connor. Holtz, a figure from Angels past, returns to present day and Wesley get in the giving spirit and decides to give Angels kid to Holtz. (Thats our Wes....always using his brain....) Holtz skips town, or...uh...this dimension with Connor and needless to say Angel isnt too happy.
Lilah teams up with a new W&H lawyer named Gavin, and they become major pains in Angels ass. As if things arent strange enough already, Cordy becomes part demon and Connor returns from...where ever he was. Oh, and now hes a teenager whos been brain washed by Holtz. His mind set is pretty much Angel is bad....Angel must die...blah blah.
Icing on the cake, Connor doenst kill Angel, but decided eternity swimming with the fishes is a better punishment. Season ends with Angel sinking to the bottom of the ocean, and Cor going to heaven to become a higher being. Grrrrr Arghh. -walk, walk, walk-
