A master Vampire, the undead version of Sid and Nancy, A rogue Slayer and a big snake thing, a demonic G.I. Joe, a hell god, her best friend, and The First evil; Buffy Summers has come up against the worst of the worst. No matter what the forces of evil throw at her she comes out on top. (Uh, minus the times she died.)

Buffy has lasted longer then most slayers. (Is it just me, or did I make her sound like a carton of milk?) This probably had something to do with the fact that unlike other Slayers, she had contact with both family and friends. She had connections to the normal world, that and the fact that she wasnt afraid to question authority figures. (Mainly the Watches Council and to some extent, The Initiative.) Slayers like the first Slayer and Kendra knew their calling: Become a Slayer, fight, and die. A persons destine cannot be changed. No questions asked

Season 7 Overview
Season sevens first few episodes dealt with four main subplots: The high school being rebuilt on the oh so unpredictable Hellmouth, Spike returning to Sunnydale with a spankin new soul, with bonus insanity, Willow dealing with the fact that she tried to destroy the world, and Anya going back to her vengeance demon roots.
By mid-season, we are introduced to the S.I.Ts. With each passing episodes they seemed to multiply. Also, the main Big Bad was revealed. The First, the core of all things since the dawn of time. It wasnt like other evils, it being all non-corporeal and stuff.
It played mind games. Never actually touched its victims. The First had minions to do the actual dirty work. (The Bringers, Uber Vamps, Spike, and Andrew) It was also revealed that Robin Wood, the new principal of Sunnydale High, was the son of Nikki Wood, the Slayer Spike killed in NYC. Needless to say, there was tension between the two throughout the season.
Near the end of the season Spike got over his insanity/being under The Firsts control, Faith returned to Sunnyd, and an evil priest named Caled was thrown into the mix. (Youd go evil too if you had his haircut) Ah, cant forget Andrews big board ^_^. Ok, so Angel decides to take a field trip to his old stomping grounds and brings a pretty amulet along for the trip. Apparently, the thing activates when worn by a champion.(Naturally, thats Spike!) During the battle between The Firsts army of uber vamps the S.I.Ts get promoted to full Slayer status (Thanks to Will), Spikes amulet powers up and kills off all the uber vampys, but the catch is it kills him as well. (Joss is pure evil.) Oh, Anya dies too, but lets focus on the main priority here people. Spike died!) Sunydale gets sucked into a crater, and Grrr Arghh. The End. (One Hellmouth down, now onto Cleveland!)

Where Do We Go From Here?
With seven years under its belt, Buffy The Vampire Slayer said farewell with its 142nd episode 'Chosen'. The rumor mills are spinning with talks of a spinoff, and James Marsters has signed on to reclaim his role as Spike on Angel. It may be over, but that characters wont be forgotten in the hearts of true fans, now all we can do is wait to see what else Joss plans to throw our way. It goes without saying that whatever it is, with Joss in the mix its sure to be great.

The Brains behind Buffy
There is a fine line between brilliance and insanity, and Joss Whedon straddles that line. Some of his visions are outlandish to say the least, but he runs with it and produces nothing but gold each time. Both Sarah Michelle Gellar and James Marster have called the production team behind Btvs (Including Joss) insane, but it was all out of love ^_^. James Marsters says, and I quote, The people here, are insane. They arent satisfied with less then feature quality film.
I thought we were crazy before, but now I think we are all criminally insane, says Sarah Michelle Gellar when being interviewed during the filming of the season six musical episode, Once More With Feeling. Insane or not Joss Whedon will go down in T.V. history for his comical mix of the supernatural and everyday life.
